Kalu Rinpoche

Vancouver & Saltspring Island

British Columbia, Canada

April 1st to 12th, 2017

With joyful anticipation, we are pleased to welcome His Eminence Kalu Rinpoche back to Vancouver. Rinpoche is the lineage holder of the glorious Shangpa Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.

For the first time since previous Khyabje Kalu Rinpoche hosted the last seminar at Kunzang Dechen Osel Ling (KDOL) Retreat Centre in 1982, Rinpoche will be leading intensive study and practice seminars at KDOL, on Salt Spring Island, and in Vancouver, B.C.

This is a very precious opportunity to receive empowerments and teachings from Rinpoche, and to spend an extended period with him in daily seminars and practices, at one of the first western Three Year Retreat centres, established by previous Khyabje Kalu Rinpoche in 1975.

April 1-7:

Combined Practice of the Four Deities

KDOL, Salt Spring Island

SOLD OUT!!

[map]
The Four Deities practice is one of the central practices of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. Combining the four deities of 6-Arm Mahakala, Vajrayogini, Chenrezig and Green Tara, the Four Deities practice is considered to be so profound because it is an indispensable support for dispelling all outer and inner hindrances, and for receiving blessings and is said to contain everything necessary for the swift attainment of liberation and enlightenment.
• Empowerment, Seminar and Daily Practice with Rinpoche
• Program begins @ 6:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1st
For multi-day events, Rinpoche requires attendees to participate in the entire program.

SOLD OUT!!

“The contemplative practice of the Lama Vajradhara grants the highest accomplishments in this very life. Speedy attainment of the stages of the path depends upon two factors. Dispelling of hindrances and enhancement of contemplative experience. The ultimate method for dispelling outer hindrances is that of the Protector; for inner ones that of Tara. The very best method for the outer enhancement of loving kindness and compassion is the practice of Avalokiteshvara; for the inner enhancement of bliss and heat we practice Vajrayogini. Thus a single session of this practice covers every stage of the path. You can accomplish this in three months of undistracted practice. Meditation upon this without fail at each dawn session, brings about ordinary and extra-ordinary accomplishments!”
