KKC Shrine Room, 4941 Sidley St, Burnaby, BC

The swift-acting, six-armed Awareness Protector – Six-Armed Mahakala, is the special protector of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition. As the wrathful emanation of Chenrezig, the Wisdom Protector protects the dharma and dharma practitioners by dispelling their obstacles, obscurations, and disturbing emotions. Rinpoche will be teaching the medium length Drub Tab for the Mahakala practice. This is a rare opportunity to receive teachings on this sadhana, which is usually practiced in a retreat setting.
♦ Cost: $300 (for 6 days). Register at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3208974

February 19-21  Chod Seminar/Retreat

施身法教授及閉關  二月十九至廿一日

Palpung Phende Kunkyab, 4251 Victoria Dr, Vancouver, BC
*Due to popular demand, this program is relocated from KKC to a bigger space at Palpung Phende Kunkyab, 4251 Victoria Dr, Vancouver, B.C. And we are happy to announce that more tickets are available!
The word ‘chod’ means “cutting through.” Our habit of attachment and clinging to a self give rise to causes and conditions in our life which result in suffering. Chod practice is a skillful method that enables us to let go of false notions and beliefs regarding the inherent existence of appearances. By practicing Chod, we liberate ourselves from the four maras, and come to understand the emptiness of all appearances including ourselves.
♦ Cost: $150 (for 3 days). Register at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3208979

February 22-24  Lojong Seminar/Retreat

修心要義  二月廿二至廿四日

KKC Shrine Room, 4941 Sidley St, Burnaby

The teachings on mind training, or lojong, are an invaluable aid to practitioners because they show us how the wisdom and skillful means of the Mahayana can actually be put into action. The teachings include instruction in formless meditation, in the practice of “sending and taking” (tonglen), and in post-meditation practice—insights into how to bring our meditation into action in our daily lives.
♦ Cost: $150 (for 3 days). Register at https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3208982

Please note: the above practices (Mahakala, Chod, and Lojong) are held in KKC’s shrine room and seating capacity is extremely limited. We recommend purchasing your tickets early! If your ability to pay makes it difficult for you to attend, please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
